Born and raised in Barbados, Kevan, at the age of 16 began teaching himself to play the guitar by listening to his favourite tracks and records . Just out of high school, he enrolled in college for a degree in Visual Arts; later leaving to pursue music full time.
Kevan joined the local circuit and began playing shows in small bars and restaurants where he honed his skills as a performer and singer/songwriter. He was soon performing at bigger shows and events such as Glastonbury, The Ski Week Aspen, The Virgin Atlantic Music Festival Barbados & The Bequia Music Festival and quickly became recognized for his unique sound and voice, creating a fan base both locally and abroad.
This caught the eye of key people in the music industry, leading him to perform for Andrew Lloyd Webber, Michael Buble and Cliff Richard. He also teamed up with Webber's producer Nigel Wright for a studio session where they recorded a demo of cover tracks.
In turn, this launched an international interest performing shows in cities such as New York, LA, London, Toronto and Vienna to name a few.
Kevan has ambitious plans for the future of his music and is now focused on writing and recording original content for his EP.
